I think Dan died around 1984. Last time I saw him, Dan was a bartender at the Sandpiper in Boise. Every time I was home on leave from the Navy i would head down to the Sandpiper and spend a few hours at the bar with Dan. I only knew him from a few clases together at Boise High and a kegger or two but always liked him. He was a very nice person and always enjoyed getting together with him for a few drinks. Like Billy Joel sang in one of his songs, "Only the good die young". I didn't know Dan well and don't know how he died but have thought about him over the years. Just thought someone should write say something about Dan, he died way too young.
